Kaş is everything a large resort town isn't — small enough to walk everywhere, stylish enough to have good restaurants, and surrounded by enough history and natural beauty to fill a week without repetition.

What you actually see and do:

• Kekova — the sunken Lycian city, partially submerged ruins visible just below the water surface; boat tours available daily
• Xanthos and Letoon — UNESCO-listed Lycian cities 45 minutes from Kaş; the Nereid Monument and the votive site of the Lycian League
