ATV vs Quad Bike: What's the Difference?

The terms are used interchangeably by most Cappadocia operators, but there is a technical difference:

• ATV (All-Terrain Vehicle): Four wheels, straddle seating, typically automatic or semi-automatic transmission. More stable and easier for beginners.
• Quad bike: Effectively the same thing in Turkish tourism context — most operators offer the same type of vehicle regardless of the name used.

Single vs double: Most operators offer both single ATVs (one rider) and double ATVs (driver plus passenger). The double is ideal for couples or parent-child pairs where the passenger doesn't want to drive. The driving experience is significantly more engaging on a single.
